Date and features of the pre-expansion patch for World of Warcraft: The War Within

second month marks the beginning of World of Warcraft 's second multi-expansion epic, and as usual, a new expansion brings with it a pre-expansion patch. A few of the elements in The War Within, such as Warbands, will be available later this month in advance of the expansion's August 22 release. Some of the features are highlighted in a recent blog post by Blizzard, and they won't be there for long.

The next features will be accessible regardless of whether you pre-purchased The War Within, and the pre-patch goes live on July 23. Here's a brief summary of what's in store:

An alt-haver's dream: warbands

Warbands are basically groups of four of your characters from any server, faction, or account (restricted only by geography), as further explained by Blizzard last week. The majority of reputations, accomplishments, collections of pets and mounts, and even a new bank are among the many traits and advancements that these characters have in common.

The Dragonflight chapter will end with this, probably short, questline, and The War Within will begin with it. To begin it, all you have to do is reach level 70 and finish the other main chapters of the Dragonflight questline.

etc.Skyriding expands Dragonflight to additional mounts

You'll have an abundance of options if you're sick of riding the same old horses for your dragon rides. You may now employ the Dragonflight flying style on almost all of the game's flying mounts, which is known as skyriding.

A brand-new global task with Warband incentives: Luminous Sounds

Certain awards may be obtained even without The War Within, and the characters in your Warband can share them. There are portals in Dalaran that will lead you to one of three cycling zones when the event begins. You're undoubtedly used to this pattern by now: kill guys, complete event chores, dispatch a boss, and get prizes.Residual Memories, which can be used to purchase a new 32-slot bag, several mounts, and an extensive collection of item level 480 gear, will be dropped during this event. A Lifeless Stone Ring is also available from Amuul, the Dalaran merchant for the event. This ring may be transformed into a level 227 heirloom ring at any time throughout the event.That's it, too! Picking at the odds and ends coming in pre-patch is possible for a whole month. I'll be fretting over which characters to include in my Warband and then regretting it later if you need me.
