During their LRG3 stream, Limited Run Games revealed that Assault Suit Leynos 2 would be localized for the first time in North America. It seems like Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute, which was published earlier this year in Japan, will be getting a translation.
The third game in the Assault Suit series is Assault Suit Leynos 2. The first two games were really Assault Suit Leynos and Assault Suits Valken, but in the West, we would remember them as Target Earth and Cybernator. It's one of several science fiction mech games. Here on Ontario Online Casino, I've discussed Cybernator/Assault Suits Valken a ton. There has been a Western comeback of sorts in the series.
Although the majority of Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute is a port of the Sega Saturn version of the game, quality-of-life additions like loading, rewinding, and saving have been made. Adjustments for option difficulty are also available.
More significantly, Leynos 2 was never released in English. We have not yet completed our Assault Suit collection. This will advance us by one step. Then Assault Suits Valken 2 is the only thing lacking, and it resembles the Front Mission series strangely. However, as the majority of the personnel is the same, Front Mission: Gun Hazard and Assault Suits Valken are quite similar. In actuality, they were only paying it forward.
Really, however, might someone translate and reissue Valken 2?
Later in 2024, in North America, Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute will be available. The Switch, PS4, and PS5 will get it.
