There's a lot of vegetation.
It's easy to forget that the newest game in Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo series, Forza Horizon 5, is just a few months away from release given how much attention racing game enthusiasts have been giving it lately.GT 7 is the first numbered entry in the series since 2013, and since Gran Turismo Sport didn't get the best response, I believe a lot is riding on this game to blow us away and demonstrate the capabilities of the PlayStation 5. Although the racer has previously been the subject of a few trailers, PlayStation unveiled a fresh glimpse at the game this past weekend, including a lap around the Gran Turismo 7 Deep Forest Raceway.
Yes, I'm eager to see it in 4K on my large screen. Driving the Deep Forest Raceway often in Gran Turismo 4 throughout my college years is something I recall. I learned everything I needed to know about cornering from it. If you are acquainted with the track, you should have been able to see some of the layout modifications that have been made, such as the addition of more barriers and a hairpin bend in the latter part of the circuit, in the trailer. I'm going to crash into other vehicles a lot in that position if my experience with hairpin corners in prior racing games is any guide.
On March 4, 2022, Gran Turismo 7 will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Remind yourself that there will be a $10 digital upgrade fee if you buy the PS4 version and then decide you would want to upgrade to the PS5 edition.
