Boruto is, at most, a mediocre sequel to the very successful Naruto series. Some admirers of the original just hated it, and it caused division among them. I wasn't a huge fan of the sequel, but I also wouldn't characterize myself as a hater. I nonetheless kept up with the series. Why? because I'm still somewhat entertained by it.
It's okay if you enjoyed Naruto but choose not to follow his son's adventures. It's not flawless, in my view. However, if you're debating whether to pick it up or continue watching the series, now is the ideal moment to do it. In light of the fact that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is finally picking things up. This is the reason.
There will be spoilers ahead!
At last, the original characters are taking the lead.
Naruto concludes on a positive note, overcoming an overwhelming invader that was attempting to destroy the planet. By then, the members of its cast have become so strong that very nothing in the world can still endanger them. Or, at least, that was my assumption, as was presumably yours as well. And therein is the issue. It is challenging to transfer the torch to the next generation when one has so much power. They can just protect them from danger, after all. There are several ways to fix that issue, but the sequel went with the most unpopular solution: nerfing the original cast. The original cast of Boruto has almost lost all of its usefulness. I mean, Sasuke lost his Rinnegan, Shikamaru lost his brilliance, and Naruto had already lost Kurama.Though not too much, our cherished heroes are finally displaying their strength in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Similar to Jiraiya from Naruto, Sasuke assumes the role of master for Boruto. He hasn't summoned his deadly Susanoo or Amaterasu, but he still performs a great job teaching Boruto what he knows by acting as a master.Shikamaru is also getting better. With a few exceptions, everyone's recollections of Kawaki and Boruto were switched by Eida's omnipotence before to the time travel. Shikamaru discovered the gaps in his memory on his own despite the brainwashing, and he is now covertly backing Boruto. Regarding Naruto, let's hope he appears soon.
Sort of, Boruto is bringing back our favorite characters
Let's return to Kurama now. Kurama almost offered himself as a sacrifice by using Baryon Mode to provide Naruto strength. Everyone was moved by such scenario, particularly after believing our beloved fox had vanished. As it happens, it is untrue. Even Kurama is taken aback by the news that he has returned. According to Kurama, a Biju's existence will continue to exist in some form even if it dies. It just so happens that Himawari was the victim and that it occurred so quickly.Alright, I understand. I'm not complaining about Kurama's comeback, even if it may look like a fix for an issue that Boruto caused on its own. Ultimately, Himawari attains the necessary skills to take center stage. Furthermore, Kurama isn't the only character who Boruto is resurrecting.Koji Kashin is probably well known to those who have read or seen Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. For those who don't know, Amado cloned Jiraiya and called her Koji Kashin. Thus, the corrupted version of Sannin has also returned. While Koji Kashin seems to have a more prominent part in Two Blue Vortex, he hasn't done anything in Naruto Next Generations. In order to combat Code and the fresh offspring of his God Tree, he has joined forces with Boruto. I hope we get to see some amazing jutsu that he is carrying.Image courtesy of MangaPlus
Boruto: The buzz about Two Blue Vortex is growing!
Boruto, the sequel to Naruto, is expected to inherit the enormous legacy left by the former. But it did it in a rather dubious manner. It picks off where the first narrative left off, adding the Otsutsuki, an even greater menace. Indeed, Kaguya is an Otsutsuki in her own right, but she was alone. Boruto has a large number of them. And that's pretty much it. Though they are many, they have the same objective as Kaguya. They want to leave Earth behind and suck it dry. I might be alone in this, but I don't find it very inspiring. But Two Blue Vortex manages to correct that. The aliens are (temporarily?) sidelined, and a new cast of villains—the self-aware God Trees—are presented. Though the plot still resembles that of the God Trees and the Ten Tails, the new antagonists have more ambitious goals than just wiping off humanity. Every person has a unique drive that stems from their basic being. It is essential to understand the origins of the self-aware God Trees in order to comprehend more. The result of Code's Ten Tails and the chakra that Code's claw dirt absorbed are the self-aware God Trees. For example, Hidari is Sasuke's God Tree counterpart. He is driven by the desire to devour Sarada. What would happen if he succeeds in doing that? The mystery surrounding it all is what keeps things fascinating!
