Avoid getting ready for Titanfall.
In addition to a number of other scheduling changes, Electronic Arts seems to be abandoning a surprise single-player project set in the same Apex and Titanfall world.
A single-player game based on the shared world of Apex Legends and Titanfall has been shelved by EA, according to a recent report from Bloomberg. The game was designed by Mohammad Alavi, who departed EA early last year, and was code-named Titanfall Legends.
According to reports, EA will look for jobs inside the firm to fill the team's fifty or so posts. Those who are unable to find employment will be laid off and get severance.
Though Respawn has been kicking around the idea of going back to Titanfall for a while, the project had not been made public. The most recent entry was Titanfall 2 from 2016, however the battle royale game Apex Legends is rooted in the same world and has fascinating references to its backstory from .Preserve the pilot.Yesterday, Electronic Arts made a number of announcements on their upcoming schedule, looking forward until 2023. As EA changes course, both Apex Legends Mobile and the upcoming Battlefield Mobile are shutting down development. However, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, did left the door open for other mobile initiatives down the road.At Respawn, in the meanwhile, the team is still working on the next Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Apex Legends. The second single-player Star Wars game from the Respawn team was supposed to premiere yesterday, but it was pushed back to April 28.I guess we're still waiting, TItanfall enthusiasts. Even though I like the games Respawn has been producing, I sometimes play Titanfall 2 only to relive the campaign. I still think it's one of the finest single-player first-person shooter campaigns I've ever played, and I hope the creator will eventually bring it back to that format. There's also Neon White if you're still in need of a more recent movement-driven, intense first-person shooter action game.
