Focus Entertainment and Auroch Digital have revealed that a (paid) DLC expansion is scheduled for release in 2023. Boltgun Warhammer 40,000. On June 18, 2024, Forges of Corruption will launch on PC and consoles with new locations, foes, and weaponry.
I was quite a ways from calling Warhammer 40K: Boltgun my favorite game of 2023. My main complaint with it was, in particular, the unclear and shoddy level design. Still, it had a significant effect on me. It felt fantastic to be a large, stompy-legged war machine, and the sound effects on its weapons are amazing. I still had to suggest it in spite of all of its flaws.
Actually, this DLC really piques my attention. Apart from providing the devs with an opportunity to showcase the gameplay via improved level design, I'm eager to see any new weaponry that is added. More specifically, they are integrating the Missile Launcher and Multi-Melta. Boltgun did not already own a missile launcher? I am unable to recall. As a reader pointed out to me, the Boltgun itself is already technically a rocket launcher. It's unfortunate that the Forges of Corruption campaign will return us to Graia since I would want to see anything else than a single massive industrial world. The Terminator and Helbrute are the new foes you'll be up against.Auroch Digital is also introducing a horde mode, which is independent and in addition to the planned DLC. Horde mode, a mainstay of contemporary first-person shooters, pits you against an unending stream of adversaries. Whether or whether they buy the DLC, all players will have access to the horde mode for free. The following systems can play Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun: PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. On June 18, 2024, Forges of Corruption will be released.
