Bop-Louie bops once more
During its second Sunsoft is Back stream, Sunsoft revealed that a remake of Ufouria: The Saga, a 1991 NES game, is in the works.
You didn't miss anything if you didn't catch Sunsoft's backstream. The only fresh revelation that we received was a screenshot of Ufouria. They unveiled Gimmick! and Trip World DX, but they didn't even provide us with a release date for Gimmick! other than "soon." An announcement about Trip World DX was made earlier, and Limited Run Games was in charge of the physical copies. Preorders go live on April 28.
Before Ufouria: The Saga arrived on the Wii Virtual Console, it was not available in North America. In Japan, it is referred to as Hebereke. But it has never translated well. The PAL region's 50 Hz is used by the Virtual Console re-releases, which causes everything to run too quickly. The game Ufouria: The Saga has garnered a cult following in spite of the subpar ports.Ufouria will get a complete remake, in contrast to Gimmick!, which is just receiving an updated port. The shown screenshot has an artistic style reminiscent to Yoshi's Wooly World. Everything we know thus far is that a 2023 release is planned. It's unclear whether the character shown in the screenshot will adopt the Japanese name "Hebe" instead of the western one "Bop-Louie." In my opinion, "Bop-Louie" is simply a very adorable name. There are two undisclosed projects that the awful Vtuber hosting the broadcast casually mentions. All we can do is hope that one is the much-rumored port/remaster/remake of the \i>Clock Tower. We'll just have to wait and hope for a later, better stream.
