The unexpected release of the DLC for Final Fantasy 16 called "Echoes of the Fallen" (Echoes of the Fallen) is among this year's greatest shocks from The Game Awards.
Clive Rosfield makes a reappearance in the DLC, and additional chapters that further the game's epic story are included. Though there will be new opponents to deal with, the clips indicate that we'll be getting more of the explosive action that made the basic game so thrilling to play.
According to a PlayStation blog post, the DLC includes new chapters along with updated weapons, combat, level caps, and accessories. Among the armaments is the well-known Buster Sword. "The 'Away (1987)' Orchestrion Roll," which enables a chiptuned version of the song "Away" to be played as background music in the hideaway, is another musical delight.
Fans will also get another DLC, The Rising Tide, which is scheduled to release in the spring of 2024. Other than the statement that it "will bring new challenges and more, including the confrontation between Clive and the legendary Eikon, Leviathan," not much information has been released about it.
Although both DLCs are paid for, I am tempted to unlock my checkbook and play the game again because of all the upcoming stuff.
