Ten cosy demos to savor at Steam Next Fest

It's reasonable to say that Steam's Next Fest has a large number of games, but I've already spent a significant amount of time scrolling through and downloading the coziest titles I could find.

While some of these games are purely cozy, others can be better characterized as cozy-adjacent. While not all of them are life-sims, they all had something special to offer and made me feel good while I played. The top 10 from my playtesting are listed below.

Garden Witch Life

I've been craving a game that would make me feel as satisfied as Cooking Mama for at least 15 years. It surprised me to discover it in a game about a female searching for her purpose in life after losing her work, yet Garden Witch Life Cooking Mama is scratched.formed an itch in my mind. You get to really cut the soup components, really!That, along with the demo's charming storyline preview, has me eagerly anticipating the full release of Garden Witch Life. Take advantage of the 10 in-game days you have to explore your new residence.

Small Paradise

By now, you already know that I adore Little Glade, the demo of which was officially published a few weeks before to Next Fest. But as you can see from the list of games accessible, I had to add it here.Construct a gigantic tower suitable for Rapunzel, meticulously build small hamlet cities or historical ruins, or make a modest hidden garden. Small Paradise helps you do everything without worrying about truly understanding the mechanics since the game takes care of everything for you. There is an arch or entrance where a route meets a wall. You may freely move the windows, and you can click a button to make flowers appear. When Tiny Glade launches later this year, tremendous things are in store.

Mistria's Fields

Should you have completed Valley of Stardew and said, "Hey, why is the Wizard the only magical person here?" you would get Mistria Fields.I won't get too much into specifics since you can read my full review of the game here, but suffice it to say, I'm eagerly awaiting the full release on July 5. Although the three in-game days you are given are far from sufficient to fully explore and learn everything, you do have the option to play again once your allotted time has passed.The location of Amber Isle is .

Envision yourself as a dinosaur embarking on the greatest journey of your life, only to plummet from your hot air balloon and hit the roof of a recently refurbished store. That is the beginning of Amber Isle. After that, you meet the town's very cranky Mayor and try to impress him with your shop-keeping and making prowess.The character development is what solidifies Amber Isle on this list. With a complete RGB color selection, the possibilities are almost limitless, allowing you to be really distinctive. You may alter the hue and pattern of every feature on your body, even your teeth and arm tufts, so you won't resemble any other dinosaur in the wild.

Kirkland Food Center

Although it isn't, I would claim that this is the most bizarre option on the list. A stranger one will appear later.Burger Galaxy imagines you managing a chain of fast food restaurants around the cosmos, starting on Mercury. It's simple enough to begin with: cook the patties on the griddle, watch careful not to burn the cheese, and serve cats dressed in mech suits. But once you reach to Venus, you have a lot more clients and a much larger cooking station. In addition, you have to commit a number of different recipes to memory in order to get high marks for cooking time.Although that doesn't seem particularly pleasant, there was sometimes some tension. But when there are cats involved, everything is immediately comfortable. Correct? To be fair, I did mention that a few of these games would be cozy-neighborhood games.

Love, Ghostie is a Janbeh Games game in which you take on the role of a recently deceased ghost haunting a shared home. You must assist the occupants of the home in forming relationships by distributing presents from one person to another while remaining unseen.Before turning into a ghostly cupid that shoots arrows to make love happen, you have to manage your resources and choose which citizens would form the ideal pairs. The artwork is enthralling and very lovely, Love, GhostiePlaying is a pure pleasure in every way.

Drinking Conversation

I'm not sure about you, but I'm so used to playing RPGs as an explorer that it would be wonderful to sometimes be the one assigning quests—almost like having an NPC. Bar Conversation does that, and you take on the role of the bartender at a pub that travelers from all around Asteria frequent. Any adventurer entering the inn may take up the missions you make using the rumors you acquire.Fable, an elven girl, is one of the visitors who struggles with very low self-esteem and confidence. You provide her advise, but it often seems like you're giving it to yourself. Maybe it's just me, however.As an added challenge to Tavern Talk, you must make beverages according to predetermined formulas. Every element has a corresponding characteristic, such as dexterity, strength, or charisma, which should be extremely recognizable to anybody who has ever played an RPG.

Massive Cat

Listen to me now: I am aware that this is essentially a hidden object game, but it's more than that. In addition to having to locate the thirty-one hidden cats in the demo, you may also color the image. Let's face it, there's nothing cozier and more relaxing than coloring on a gloomy day.As previously said, there are 31 cats to locate, including the enormous Giant Cat from the title, however it is just a portion of the whole release of Cats Around Us. Additionally, there is a speedrun option that allows you to race against the clock to surpass your best time after you've located every cat. However, doesn't it go against everything cozy?

distant lands

distant lands makes me think of Stardew Valley. enormously, but suppose an odd occurrence occurred that transformed your farm into a planet in its own right, and a millennium went by. Although the dynamics on the planet are largely the same, you may use your spacecraft to explore the whole cosmos.Crops and forageables may be used to make fuel cells, which can then be used to travel to every planet in the solar system, making new friends and discovering new things at each stop. Exploring a cosmos full of aliens and forming dubious connections with them is what's not to enjoy.

Oddada

Recall that I said before that the oddest item on this list wasn't the Galaxy Burger. Let me now present to you Oddada.Oddada is a game in which players create music using things that resemble toys, evoking strong childhood memories. It is similar to assembling wooden blocks, except instead of the wooden blocks being static, you may move them about and hear a new tune at the conclusion of the game.I think the strangest and most peaceful ten minutes I've had in a long time was spent playing the Oddada demo. It's so simple to just lose yourself in the moment and play with blocks. Although the music I made isn't really good and certainly shouldn't be heard by anybody except me, it's charming, and I felt strangely pleased of what I'd accomplished.You get to create a cassette tape to match your music at the end of it all. Thank you for bringing to my attention my advanced age if you are unaware of what a cassette tape is.
