Link may not be entirely absent from the scene, however. The ESRB classification for the game has been made public, and while it is not shocking (an E 10+ for Fantasy Violence), the description does appear to indicate that Link will really be playable.The ESRB description describes the game as an adventure where players take on the character of Zelda as she tries to dispel rifts around Hyrule and rescue Link. Players engage in combat with stylized foes (such as people and monsters) while exploring diverse settings from a ¾-overhead viewpoint. Players take on foes as Link with a sword and arrows, while Zelda summons monsters for combat (such as wind-up knights, pig troops, and slime) using a magic wand. Setting some foes on fire will defeat them, while defeating other monsters will cause them to turn into mist. Multiple opponents attack/fight at simultaneously during certain frantic battle moments.For those who were hoping for an adventure focused mostly on Zelda, it's a little disappointing. Zelda, one of the most well-known and beloved characters in gaming history, has only appeared in two games, both of which are a part of the notorious Zelda CD-i trilogy.Though we don't sure how much Link will appear in Echoes of Wisdom, fans still have some optimism. Before Zelda takes the lead, it may be more akin to a cameo or perhaps simply keeping him under control throughout the entrance. In the teaser, Zelda is shown stepping up after Link becomes stuck in a another realm while trying to rescue her.On September 26, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be available only on the Nintendo Switch.
