When Epic Games decided to take the notorious Nitro Fists out of Ranked in Fortnite, do you recall exactly? Thirteen days have passed, yet the Ranked mode still allows you to get Nitro Fists.
On June 5, 2024, Epic Games made the announcement that Nitro Fists and vehicles will not be playable in the Ranked mode of Zero Build. Vehicles are no longer available in Ranked, however Nitro Fists are still there. Epic Games has been attempting to figure out how to solve the problem and find a solution, but for some reason, the fists keep escaping them.
Epic Games has been handling the removal for an oddly long period of time, which is strange since the removal shouldn't be that difficult. The array of things that are accessible in Fortnite is continuously rotating; several weapons and consumables are added to the vault and then later come back.
Nevertheless, Epic Games is currently investigating Nitro Fists. In a July 16 update, the team said that they are "aware of this issue" and thanks fans for their patience as they continue to investigate.
When you consider that the original release said that the cars and Nitro Fists will be kept apart until July 18, 2024, it becomes even more intriguing. As of this writing on July 18, it seems that Fortnite players have seen Nitro Fists for the whole designated duration in Ranked mode.
Once the issue is ultimately fixed, Epic Games may decide to prolong the removal period. This may also apply to vehicles. If things work out like that. We'll just have to wait and see what more Epic has to say.
