Still in the forefront, however, is Tanabe
We don't often get any kind of update on Metroid Prime 4. Not much has been stated about it by Nintendo or developer Retro Studios since it was first shown at E3 2017 (basically just a logo). For this reason, any advance we make in understanding it is remarkable.
Even while this news may not sound good at first, it's hardly a five-alarm inferno. A new lead producer is being sought by Retro for Metroid Prime 4.

This opening does not imply that Metroid Prime 4 is a work in progress or that there has been no producer involved during the duration. The most probable scenario is that a producer departed and a position has to be filled. Alternatively, Retro could be stepping up its efforts and adding producers to the project in order to potentially complete Metro Prime 4.more quickly. Large-scale video games sometimes include more than one producer because project management details call for more direction than one individual can provide. Not to be overlooked is the fact that series producer Kensuke Tanabe is still involved in the endeavor. He is still reportedly in charge of Metroid Prime 4 and works as a producer for Nintendo. In any case, there isn't exactly good or bad news here. All that is news. It doesn't provide much insight into the status of Metroid Prime 4 development. All we know is that it is still there and will be available when it is.
