The next Lord of the Rings Online update 41 will include two new legendary progression servers, the ability to observe birds, as well as many other crafting and class adjustments. The new Veil of the Nine system, which offers thrilling new terrain challenges that the MMO's devoted VIP members will undoubtedly love, will be hosted by the two newly added servers, "Angmar" and "Mordor."
Executive producer Severlin of the game said in a recent preview webcast that the 64-bit architecture of the two new legendary servers would assist lower latency. Furthermore, the Mordor server will be located in the EU, which is unexpected considering that the game hasn't had a European server in years.
The Nine's Veil
The Angmar and Mordor servers in League of Legends are very difficult. Lesser wraiths will attack you at random when they appear on the terrain starting at level 15. These wraiths might be fatal if you're playing with the new terrain difficulty levels in the game. The true battle starts after you reach the first level cap of 50 on the servers.
You may encounter the nine Ringwraiths at random, and defeating them will need more than a few allies. Severlin really says you'll need up to fifty people. It's a kind of landscape raiding experience that hasn't been available in LOTRO for a long time.
Both of the new legendary servers will come equipped with 12 randomly dropped rings at cap level to help ease the difficulty of these encounters. Players are limited to holding the rings for a week at a time. We don't yet know the specifics of the new awards that await players who manage to drive the Ringwraiths back into the shadows. I can't wait to test out the Veil of the Nine upgrade as soon as it debuts later this month since the mechanics of the system personally remind me of the global bosses in Black Desert Online.
