The Microsoft-only digital push is still in effect. Microsoft announced a new lineup of Xbox Series X|S consoles at today's Xbox Games Showcase, including one special edition system with a disc drive and two all-digital models. This Christmas season in 2024 will see the arrival of the three new consoles.
Surprisingly, the SSD included with the two all-digital consoles is smaller than the one without a disc drive. That one, on the other hand, is the special edition and costs more, which helps to somewhat explain it. Even yet, you would think a larger drive would be beneficial for the all-digital consoles.
Coming for Christmas 2024 are the following three new Xbox Series X|S consoles:
Xbox Series S Robot White
- All-digital
- 1TB SSD
- $349.99
Xbox Series X Robot White
- All-digital

Galaxy Black Xbox Series X Special Edition
- Includes disc drive.
- 2TB SSD
- Special Galaxy Black D-pad and Velocity Green back case
- $599.99
