Helldivers 2 is a rather surprising hit that is dominating the hearts and minds of gamers worldwide and at the top of the PSN rankings right now.Unfortunately, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has discovered via a plethora of crashes and server instability difficulties that it could be capturing too many hearts and minds. Although this is a nice issue to have, it is still a problem, which is why the developers have taken severe measures to address it.
Player count in Helldivers 2 is capped at 450k.
The official Helldivers 2 Discord channel announced the ceiling of 450,000 concurrent players on the game, which Wario64 then shared on Twitter. It's a significant move for a multiplayer-focused game, and it may exacerbate already annoying player problems. Errors related to server failure and lengthy lines for log-in have been Helldivers' hallmark up to this point. In reality, the game is about to conclude a
bonus XP weekend that was organized to make up for the inconvenience caused to players by earlier server outages.Arrowhead has made fixing these stability problems their top priority, and as recently as February 14, they released a patch in an effort to improve matching even further.Players should take some comfort in the fact that Arrowhead views the cap as a temporary measure and is aiming to increase it further to accommodate more players and improved stability, even if the cap may not be the greatest news for them.
Helldivers 2 is now accessible on PC and PlayStation 5.
