A Palworld developer explains why it would be "hard" to create a Nintendo Switch version.

The CEO of Pocketpair, Takuri Mizobe, has shot down the notion of a Nintendo Switch adaptation of Palworld, just days after the business hinted to a PlayStation version.

Mizobe did not completely rule out the prospect of it coming to the console in an interview with Game File, but he did note that it could be challenging given the technological disparities between PCs and current-gen consoles in comparison to the Nintendo Switch, which is already seven years old.

"Maybe it's hard to port to Switch just for technical reasons," he said, explaining that the graphical and technological demands on Palworld on PC are more than what the Switch can provide.

Of course, the much awaited Nintendo Switch successor could be able to handle the demands of Palworld, but there's no actual release date for the system, and it might take until March 2025 before we ever hear anything about it.

Nintendo seems to be the only one of the "big three" console manufacturers to lose out on Palworld, at least going forward, given the teasing of a PlayStation port made on June 22 by the game's community manager.

Though, given that the game has been dubbed "Pokemon with guns," it would undoubtedly be intriguing to see Palworld on Nintendo platforms. The animals resemble characters from the Pokemon universe, and Nintendo is well known for being picky about how things pertaining to its intellectual property are handled.

Even though Palworld on the Nintendo Switch may not be happening just yet, players of the game still have a lot to look forward to with the June 27 release of the Sakurajima update, which includes a new island, new Pals, another raid, and a higher level cap.
