Not only can you practice your fishing skills and catch a ton of squid at SquidFest, but if you catch enough of these tentacled monsters, you may also win special prizes.
With a difficulty level of 75, squid are typically only catchable from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on winter days. Nevertheless, during SquidFest, this limitation is removed, allowing you to catch squid anytime after 6:10 a.m. on both days.
In Stardew Valley, when is SquidFest held?
Winter event SquidFest is held on the 12th and 13th of the season. It will thus be simpler for you to leave the Farm since you won't likely need to tend to any large crops. On the other hand, you need still take care of your farm's animals before heading over to SquidFest.
SquidFest is ongoing in the background as the Villagers go on with their daily lives, with the remainder of the Valley remaining open. During SquidFest, you may still shop, engage with villagers, and do missions.
Where in Stardew Valley is Squidfest held?
Go to the left side of the beach to locate SquidFest. In addition to a number of NPCs fishing in the sea, this area is home to the SquidFest Booth.
By interacting with this booth, players may either pick up goodies or get an explanation of what's happened.
How to Win Prizes in Stardew Valley During SquidFest
Catch as many squid as you can in a single day is the basic idea behind SquidFest. The four distinct reward levels and the number of squid you must capture to achieve each tier will be listed on the sign adjacent to the SquidFest Booth every day.
These are the four tiers:
- Copper
- Iron
- Gold
- Iridium
Every day of the Festival, new prizes are awarded for each tier. The quantity of Squid you've caught resets between Festival days, so you can find out how many you've captured by looking at your inventory or the counter in the top-left corner of the screen.
The good thing is that you can either sell your squid (which may fetch between 80 and 240 Gold depending on quality and the fishing profession you choose) or utilize them to prepare some delectable dishes to stay energized.
As an alternative, you may use the squid you captured on the first day of SquidFest to produce squid bait, which will boost your chances of getting additional squid on day two of the event. In the 1.6 update, this is a newly introduced form of Bait, and SquidFest is the ideal time to employ it.
