Rollback Netcode will soon be available for those seeking a more seamless Dragon Ball FighterZ online experience. A public beta test for the functionality has been scheduled by Bandai Namco for November 30 to December 10.
Producer Tomoko Hiroki of Bandai Namco Entertainment and the official Dragon Ball Games Twitter account made the news. Anyone is welcome to participate in the beta on Steam, which coincides with the build-up to the Power Tournament finals in January. The announcement video below has the whole message.
All the information is available on the Steam announcement page for anybody who would want to participate. All those who purchased the Steam version of Dragon Ball FighterZ are eligible to take the exam. To get started, just open the Properties window for the game in your library, choose the public-beta-test option from the Betas menu. For those who are having problems locating the choice, there are a few troubleshooting notes. During the test period, you will have the option to go back to the standard version by choosing 'None' under the Betas menu.
Dragon Ball FighterZ was released for the Nintendo Switch that September after it was initially released for PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC in January 2018. As of this writing, the Rollback Netcode Public Beta Test will only be accessible on the Steam edition. For what it's worth, the platform now has all complete game versions at a steep discount. Throughout the test phase, the official Bandai Namco Esports Twitter account will provide any more developments.
