Next week, Dead by Daylight 2v8 mode launches.

According to developer Behaviour Interactive, Dead by DaylightThis week, on July 25, 2024,'s 2v8 game mode will premiere. It will be a limited-time event that lasts until August 1, 2024. The new game mode ups the ante in the frantic cat-and-mouse game of Dead by Daylight by doubling the number of Killers and Survivors in each Trial.

In the 2v8 mode, five Dead by Daylight maps are enlarged to accommodate two Killers hunting eight Survivors. To open the exit gate and escape, Survivors must fix 8 of the 13 generators. However, Killers may cooperate to trick their targets into more difficult traps, which makes it much simpler to find every Survivor and lure them in with their imprisoned comrades. You might experience something surprising in this mode, which streamlines everything from the main game and allows you to break away from the lone Survivor and Killer grind.

More attendees equals more blood to be spilled.

In a livestream, Behaviour Interactive explained in detail how Dead by Daylight 2v8 differs from the original game. There are many classes available to survivors, and each has skills that might benefit the squad as a whole. For instance, after all of the generators are fixed, The Guide can monitor Survivors and see every generator on the map, while The Medic can treat Survivors more quickly and sense their auras. In 2v8 mode, there are also minor differences in killers. Although you are unable to add Perks or Add-Ons, their skills have been somewhat enhanced to align with the increased amount of Survivors they must hunt. For example, The Trapper now has more Traps on the map. Killers also possess special skills that enable them to reinforce one another. A fellow Killer may be accelerated by The Trapper, and both can be concealed from notice by The Wraith. For this brief period, Behaviour Interactive is testing the game mode to see how players respond to it and identify areas that need improvement for the upcoming release. The game mode requires significant fine-tuning before it becomes an essential component of Dead by Daylight.I can't wait to play with this game mode. Trials will undoubtedly seem much more stressful at first due to the increased player count, but I believe that players will soon adapt to a new style of play whereby Survivors and Killers take chances to repair or ambush generators, making victories even more exhilarating.
