River City Saga: Three Kingdoms's universe publisher Arc System Works and developer APlus Games have disclosed that River City Girls is going to become a bit riskier.The next historical brawler will include the return of Kyoko and Misako, the iconic schoolgirl sluggers.River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, as we have previously reported is a hilarious twist on the traditional Chinese tale of "Sangokushi," which most Westerners probably know as the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The beloved story has been modified for the rock-'em, sock-'em Featuring retro-inspired graphics, side-scrolling action, and a cast of well-known heroes and villains, Kunio-kun tells the story of the collapse of the Han Dynasty with a lot more crotch kicks.River City Saga: Three Kingdoms will have a multiplayer-focused side adventure called "Heroes of the Three Kingdoms: Battle of Red Cliffs" in addition to the narrative mode. Here, our females get to join the 24 Kunio-kun on the roster and join the fight. Ten hilarious levels of action packed with legends await one to four players. To blend in with the historical context, Kyoko and Misako had a little makeover, and they both look adorable in the retro-modern dreadlocks.Naturally, this brief presence will prepare the little fighters for their next release, River City Girls 2, which is presently being developed at WayForward and is expected to debut in the summer of 2022.
