The] Magic: Bloomburrow's Gathering When the set releases on August 2, 2024, players will be transported to Valley, a stunning area of Bloomburrow where a diverse range of anthropomorphic species coexist peacefully. We have unique information on two of the cards from this set that you may add to your collection in this post.
For me, opening packs of new MTG cards is half the joy in finding new cards and learning how they function. But I can't stop reading and thinking about Bloomburrow since it has so many elements that I believe many people would love. Every new card I see seems to match the universe really well, and if you construct your deck properly, the mechanics open up some serious potential for mayhem.
Enjoy two brand-new, limited-edition MTG Bloomburrow cards that are sure to wow.You may utilize the 261 new cards that MTG Bloomburrow adds to the standard game to design and assemble decks. Wizards of the Coast contacted me in advance of the set's release to ask if I would be interested in sharing a few of them exclusively. You may now appreciate two new cards and their unique variations since I said yes.Fecund Greenshell
.Reach is one of the finest abilities available to a 4/6 Elemental Turtle creature like Fecund Greenshell. If you base your deck around laying down as many lands as you can as early as can, this card gains +2/+2 as long as you control 10 or more lands. This isn't as hard as it may seem.Examine the top card in your library whenever Fecund Greenshell or any other creature you control with a toughness higher than its power enters (that is, whenever it enters the battlefield). You may place that card, tapped, into the battlefield if it is a land card. If not, hold it in your hands. The purpose of this card's abilities is to increase its power, but in order to fully use its assault potential, you must cooperate with those mechanisms. No matter when it enters, in order to potentially play additional lands, you must then play cards at or above power 4. Fecund Greenshell would be a great partner for something like Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, which would let you to swiftly top it up to a 6/8 creature that you can use to destroy most other cards.
Greenshell Fecund Extended Art
.Fecund Greenshell's extended art version is much more beautiful than the original version, yet it accomplishes nothing different. As you can see, the berries that shoot out of its back resemble barbs and kill any birds that try to land on it. Given that it seems to be modeled on a snapping turtle, I believe it is rather fitting that this creature has a deadly-looking spiky mouth.
The Embers Festival
Festival of Embers is an Enchantment that has the power to elevate you to a powerful position. By spending one life plus any additional charges, you may use your graveyard to perform instant and sorcery spells. This may be quite beneficial if you've been using spells to overwhelm opponents. It's still worthwhile to have in your deck, even if you just intend to use it to repeat a single spell. The only drawback is that you exile a card or token from anywhere if it is placed in your graveyard. You might therefore re-use a spell, but if it ends up in your graveyard, it will no longer be playable. If you need to maximize the use of your graveyard, you may sidestep this somewhat by sacrificing the card and lessening its effect on what permanently exits the game.Festival of Embers, in my opinion, will function best with spells that have a variety of skills and effects. I can see it rescuing you from complete annihilation at the hands of your opponents if you can properly maximize the effects of bringing back only a few spells and then sacrifice it. However, considering the artwork, it seems sense that using this is like playing with fire.
Woodland's Festival of Embers Showcase
This is the Festival of Embers Showcase Woodland version. I believe it's very gorgeous, and it's one of Bloomburrow's distinct painting styles. It reminds me of heathen celebrations and the wicked army gathering strength before a brutal conflict. Appropriate given the complete devastation it may bring forth. The characters in this set remind me of all the stories I grew up with about animals surviving hardship, such as Watership Down and The Animals of Farthing Wood. What I appreciate most about it is that it feels as near as possible to MTG in the countryside of the UK. These cards, in my opinion, perfectly capture those ideas. It will be fascinating to see whether the set as a whole has the same vibe.In MTG, Bloomburrow is the brightest and cutest set we've seen in a while, despite the darker themes a few cards include. In conjunction with Duskmourn: House of Horror Arriving some months later, it's unquestionably the multiverse's light just before nightfall.
