The competition to be the global champion in Destiny 2The Salvation's Edge raid began on June 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM ET. One fireteam has triumphed after just over 20 exhausting hours, and Bungie has announced that they are the first team worldwide to finish what will surely go down as the most difficult raid in Destiny 2. For their efforts, the winners will get raid jackets and special rewards, but I bet all they want is a good, long sleep.
Tyraxe and his teammates were recognized as the world's first to finish Destiny 2.The raid Salvation's Edge
The victors of the race to the globe firstDestiny 2: The Last FormThe raiders for Salvation's Edge are:
- Tyraxe
- Astro
- bravo
- DrakathShadow
- Ham
- Jake
It's interesting to note that none of the big teams that had won earlier world championship races were this one. That illustrates how this was anyone's race, even while it doesn't imply they're total outsiders. When teams began to remove their live gameplay and only stream their faces, I believe they all realized this.
Tyraxe and their fireteam were the first players to reach the end of Salvation's Edge and collect the prize box at the conclusion of the raid, according to developer confirmation. Only Bungie can validate a world's first completion in a raid. The reason the chest matters is because it's the trigger that lets Bungie know which team finished the raid first.
Bungie announced that Excision, a new 12-player activity, would be coming to Destiny 2 once the winners were announced. This is the community's token of appreciation for their patience as they watched a record number of teams compete against one another over the course of the 20 hours it took for a team to win. Lastly, Bungie has declared that a film addressing the future of Destiny 2 throughout the next year would be released on June 10, 2024. This will probably include all future stuff that the developer has planned for people to enjoy, as well as Episodic content. As of right now, The Final Shape is the game's final big expansion. It will be intriguing to see what Bungie has in store to keep players interested for a whole year, and whether or not there will be any further releases after that.
