Our darkest suspicions have come true. The administration of Super Earth said today that the Terminids on the barrier worlds that the gamers had sprayed with termicide had just evolved into more proficient bugs capable of destroying democracies.
In Helldivers 2, the most recent Major Order requires players to go back to the barrier worlds they have laboriously liberated and installed Termicide Towers on. Although gamers were informed that the insect spray was 100% safe for people and would eliminate all of our adversaries, they were nonetheless apprehensive about the long-term repercussions of Termicide on both humans and Terminids. The scientists who developed it were mistaken, and all we accomplished was establish a new supercolony of Terminids.
Helldivers 2 was created by termicide. Our worst adversary is becoming even more unpleasant, and it's all our responsibility.
Termicide Towers were employed on the four planets in the Umlaut sector of Helldivers 2 to form a wall of defense between Super Earth and Terminid space. 99.6% of the bugs were killed by the termicide they vomited forth, but the 0.04% that survived underwent such extreme mutations that their propensity for procreation allowed them to grow into a supercolony.
With the goal of eliminating this new strain of Terminid, players are actively battling their way to the supercolony on Meridia. Along the way, however, they're uncovering some unsettling information that makes us all think the bugs have mutated more than multiplied.
User That isn't how we left the towers, in my opinion. What else has developed, I wonder, if the towers have all much growth on them? Something major seems to be approaching. The Termicide Towers are now covered with what seems to be a Terminid secretion, as noted by users on the Helldivers 2 subreddit. They fear that it may be a portent of something significant, as the remains of the Hive Lords have already appeared on other worlds. This might be another indication of their return. I've seen some very scary and irritating mutations for stalkers. They could conceal their bodies, but there would still be a hazy shadow that let you see them against the background before the latest patch and Major Order. As you can see from the fact that the stalkers are really shrouded above, they are now essentially invisible. The level of terror this causes while playing a task is beyond words. It's one thing to have a Stalker emerge out of nowhere when you're rushing between objectives, but when six of them do the same during a heated combat, it's enough to make you toss the controller out the window.According to the official Helldivers 2 account, there may be additional mutations out there that we haven't yet seen, which explains the Termicide Tower scenario. It's impossible for me to hide my excitement and trepidation at learning about these new Terminid strains; there will definitely be some freakouts on the game's subreddit.
