A New Secret Lair Drop for Magic: The Gathering Features Even Cuter Animal Planeswalkers

Magic: The Convocation's Secret Lair drops, which feature cards with redesigned art or entertaining themes and give collectors new opportunities to explore and appreciate Magic, are a terrific addition to the historic trading card game's release roster. Collectors have to be prepared for their scheduled release since they are released in limited quantities in timed drops.

Since the Summer Superdrop concluded last week, there will likely be another drop soon, and many are curious as to what the theme may be.

Well, you can stop wondering. What's in store for the next July 29th release has been teased in a video posted on the Secret Lair Twitter (or X) account. Yes, friends and admirers, the Showcase: Bloomburrow drop includes even more charming anthropomorphic Planeswalkers.

Bloomburrow has already showed us a number of these Planeswalkers, several of which are available in Collector Booster packs or the preconstructed decks Bloomburrow Commander. More of them are now available, printed in lovely foil variants as well, for those who like to include some cutesy elements into their deck construction.

The five cards that are part of this drop are as follows:

• Huatli, Radiant Champion

• Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner

• Sorin Markov

• Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge

• Vraska, Goglari Queen

Part of a bigger drop titled Inside an Elevator, this will also include a partnership between MTG and the Los Angeles-based creative group Brain Dead. Before the release, a few more treats will also appear, but I believe I've seen enough. Though I already adored Jace in his fox form, Vraska in her little snake form has captured my heart. When that drop goes live on July 29, I'll be there to see what more comes with it.
