There isn't a more exquisitely packaged gaming series than Chō Aniki, and these muscular lads are gearing up for an incredible return. Following a cunning tease, Edia formally disclosed their intentions for the Nintendo Switch version of Chō Aniki Collection .
The collection promises Switch versions of the first two PC Engine games, Chō Aniki and Ai Ch\ Aniki. A release date has not yet been set. The recently released official website states that the Switch versions try to evoke the originals' vibe as much as possible. There are plans to add new features that will interest a variety of gamers, but no other information was released.
Unwavering legacy
Who never misses a leg day? Chō Aniki's men. That has been clear from the series' debut on PC Engine in 1992, when it debuted as a horizontal shooter that more than lived up to expectations. Although the majority of the series has stayed in Japan, a few entries—even if some were left untranslated—have made it here. Unofficially, the Super Famicom entry Chō Aniki: Bakuretsu Rantou Hen saw the release of a fan translation last year.
Prior to the magnificent homecoming of Chō Aniki , there is still work to be done. The next action will be the start of a crowdfunding campaign via Makuake. It's merely marked as "coming soon" as of this writing, but you may sign up to get updates. It seems like they want to make the magnificent shooter available to everyone, so maybe we can all start getting ready for action in the not-too-distant future.
