Let's conjecture wildly on who will play The Legend of Zelda in the film.

A live-action Legend of Zelda film has been announced by Nintendo in association with Sony Pictures and Avi Arad. Check out who might play the many parts that this "legendary" series has to offer.

Nintendo is taking a chance by bringing The Legend of Zelda to life, after the recent success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Since its debut in 1985, the series has grown to become one of Nintendo's most well-known. It won't be long until casting starts with Wes Ball (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Maze Runner series) behind the camera. There were no plot specifics provided, so I thought that since I like watching shows, I would try my hand at casting predictions. Will they be realized? Perhaps. Is trying it worthwhile? Indeed. Now let's get started!

Given that we are unsure of whose submission the movie will be partially or strictly based on, the characters I picked are somewhat generic. Nevertheless, I have chosen performers that, in my opinion, are suitable for the part, whether it be CGI motion-capture or real live-action.

How old is Link in Tears of the Kingdom

Link: Tom Holland, Owen Teague, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Among the hardest to cast is definitely the silent swordsman. You need someone who can control a room with their emotions rather than words, since Link doesn't speak and shouldn't.

Thomas Brodie-Sangster, an Emmy nominee who is well-known for his parts in Game of Thrones and The Queen's Gambit , has been mentioned by a number of individuals. Given that the actor previously portrayed Newt in the Maze Runner film series, it's a very wise decision. He was also Ferb in Disney's Phineas and Ferb (I'm as shocked as you are), so he could portray animated or silent characters. Thomas is at the top of the list because of his varied range and on-screen rhythm.

Though he is still very young, actor Owen Teague has potential. As the voice of Noa, the new protagonist of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, he also has a history with the filmmaker. He has a great range, whether it's comedy, drama, or anything in between, and he looks great with long hair. Directors often choose actors who have helmed major parts in the past—Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are two examples. That might increase Owen's chances of obtaining the Master Sword.

Naturally, Tom Holland may be a strong candidate, despite the opinion of many that it is too cliche. Avi Arad, the producer, has been involved in all of his Spider-Man productions, even if he hasn't collaborated with Wes Ball. In addition, he produced Tom's portrayal of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted film, which was alright as it was. Tom is an obvious candidate to portray Link in the Legend of Zelda adaption if Nintendo is aiming for huge faces.

Zelda: Sydney Sweeney, Rachel Zegler, Florence Pugh

You want someone that is confident and puts their emotions on their sleeve with Zelda. They need to locate an actress who can both equal and personalize the tone of Patricia Summersett, who is voicing the role in the most recent entries. She is more vocal in games.

Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Little Women, Black Widow) is one that instantly springs to me. She's definitely qualified to play the princess, having been nominated for an Academy Award. Her ability to blend dynamics is shown by a number of her productions, which include action, humor, and drama. Despite being older than the other candidates, Florence can quiet it with a fantastic performance, and I can assure you that she can.

Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Rachel Zegler (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) are two very recent additions. Syndey is supported by her Emmy nominations, as well as a possible Spider-Woman part in Madam Web. Meanwhile, Rachel's breakthrough performance in Spielberg's West Side Story was so successful that it almost earned her an Oscar nomination. They are all charming and charismatic like Zelda, and they would all blend in well in Hyrule.

Idris Elba, Dave Bautista, and Keith David Ganondorf

The actor playing Ganondorf wants a performance that makes you shudder. My choice of actors was based on their ability to do sophisticated and creepy voices, as the character would probably be rendered via computer graphics.

You can't go wrong with Idris Elba when it comes to casting a moody, villainous role. Numerous projects, including Zootopia, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and , have benefited from his rich British voice.Phantom Liberty in Cyberpunk 2077. In my opinion, he remains a strong candidate to be the next James Bond. The Gerudo exile would benefit by his presence as Ganon.

Dave Bautista would be a great vocal choice for the part, particularly if motion-captured. The guy is a Guardian of the Galaxy and a WWE wrestler, after all. He also enjoys playing video games a lot, as seen by his participation in two Mortal Kombat 1 commercials and his commitment to portraying Marcus Fenix in the live-action Armaments of War.Zelda's Legend would be fortunate to have Dave as its evil adversary.

In relation to voice, Keith David would be a fantastic Lord of the Darkness. Video games are among the hundreds of projects he has worked on during his career. He is most known for his roles as Dr. Facilier in The Princess and the Frog, Anderson in Mass Effect, and Arbiter in Halo. If they decide to go the Ocarina of Time path, his range will be of great assistance.

Impa: Ming-na Wen, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoe Saldana

I'm going for the Ocarina of Time and Hyrule Warriors versions, although the role may depict the older version from the original and Breath of the Wild. Impa, one of my favorite characters, is fierce and deserving of a strong portrayal in the Legend of Zelda movie.

Immediately, Zoe Saldana's CV pops into my head. She has played major parts in some of the largest franchises ever, such as Neytiri in Avatar and Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She can also kick some major ass. Regarding Avatar, the same holds true for Michelle Rodriguez, the star of Fast & Furious. The Halo 2actor, who starred in Resident Evil , is an avid player of video games, specializing in first-person shooters. Yes, she would make a formidable Impa.

But Ming-na Wen enjoys being in video games and their adaptations, which is something special. She portrayed Chun-Li in the 1994 film Street Fighter and was a star of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The actress, 59 years old, still has a lot of damage to do if her role in Star Wars is any indication.

Sean Bean, Donald Sutherland, and Andy Serkis as The King

Naturally, you need someone who has been around for a while to be the King of Hyrule. An actor with theatrical experience would be ideal since they complement that royal tone.

In his lengthy career, Sean Bean has portrayed a few monarchs of his own. Above all, he was Game of Thrones's Ned Stark. Additionally, he provided the voice of King Regis in Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive. And certainly, he would be the best choice for a high-fantasy set epic based on his performance in The Lord of the Rings .

However, there are natural substitutes. For instance, demanding characters in successful franchises include Andy Serkis (Planet of the Apes) and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games). They've all portrayed strong characters that would have been appropriate for The King. I don't believe you could go wrong with any of them, regardless of the version that is portrayed

Goron: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jason Momoa, and Dave Bautista

I understand, but bear with me. In Zelda , gorons have mostly important functions, therefore they will appear in some capacity. In any case, a strong actor is required to portray a real-life rock monster.

Indeed, it could be a no-brainer to have Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Moana, Hobbs & Shaw) play one. Still, his charm and demeanor would be ideal for a Goron. The same is true for Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy). Each of them would highlight the Gorons' brash demeanor. Their experience with superhero movies and professional wrestling already exemplifies that power. It also helps that they're all very strong and capable of breaking me in two.

Zora: Tilda Swinton, Charlize Theron, and Cate Blanchett

Water animals must possess a certain grace. Perhaps it's because water represents life itself, or perhaps it's simply me going back to my creative writing roots like a crazy raccoon. Nevertheless, a lot of Zora's incarnations in The Legend of Zelda are composed, level-headed people. Usually, you want someone whose presence corresponds with it.

Given their history in dramatics, actresses like Tilda Swinton (Doctor Strange, Michael Clayton) and Cate Blanchett (The Lord of the Rings, Blue Jasmine) can do that rather effectively. While they are capable of holding their own in a battle if provoked, Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road, Monster) is one actress that has both skills with accuracy. Her blend of action and drama would work well for Zora, the more reserved fighter.

Chris Pratt, Jack Black, and Danny Devito in Tingle

It's difficult to see Sony and Nintendo giving Tingle a big role in The Legend of Zelda. He's just an elderly guy with a catchphrase, dressed in a green jumpsuit. That's hard to be nominated for an Oscar. Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously should be the ideal candidate. Given that comedians constantly make themselves seem foolish, they are an obvious candidate.

The obvious options, if Nintendo wants to be cautious, are Starring in the Super Mario Bros. Movie are Jack Black and Chris Pratt. They're all excellent at capturing the uncomfortable humor that would probably be reserved for the green "fairy." Even yet, it has been much too long since Danny Devito, The Lorax, has been on film. Maybe it's time for him to make his grand comeback as a little red-nosed human gremlin. Perhaps.
