Notably, The Indie Stone has clarified that the team has chosen to divide Build 42's unstable candidate release into two phases in order to guarantee a timely launch timeframe. The team believes that the much enhanced crafting system of Project Zomboid is the last big obstacle. The blog post states, "As a result, we've determined it would be a better approach to polish up what we have, and continue the process of bug fixing and polishing the build to the point it would be able to go into the Unstable branch."
This effectively suggests that Build 43 will be the release date for a chunk of the new crafting system in Project Zomboid. However, this also means that Build 42 shouldn't face any unjustified opposition, which is excellent news. Granted, a significant portion of the new crafting system will still be included in Build 42, so this shouldn't be too concerning. In addition, to add even more intrigue, we now get a better preview of part of Project Zomboid's impending visual makeover.
