Early on in ,Elden Ring, I couldn't stop seeing these haphazard, chipped, hellishly noticeable sculptures glowing blue. And after fifty hours, I can finally crack them open.
Rewinding a little, this game has a wide variety of sculptures, some of which you may touch with directly. I'm not referring to them. I'm referring to the sculptures that are often thrown over or partly cut apart. similar to this one!
**Warning signs below**If your experience is similar to mine, you may have experimented with many leap attacks, explosive throwables, and two-handed weaponry, among other strategies that were sensible at the time. Nothing works, or not that I've observed. You must utilize a large guy instead.
True enough, a huge lad
If I had taken the time to investigate this storm-tossed Limgrave hillside with many trolls prowling about, I most likely would have discovered the answer much sooner. The a-ha moment really occurred spontaneously on a follow-up visit: a giant was just walking past it on his approach to my character when the broken statue burst apart to expose a sparkling object.
What was included within? Regretfully, just a few low-level stone-smithing — a valuable discovery early on, but far less so later on when they become more common.
You may have noticed this statue in the center of Stormveil Castle, which you would have passed on your route to the boss, if you missed the one seen above.
It's not quite cozy as it lies down next a massive, spiny foe, big enough to give me the impression that it might also possess the strength to smash the statue open... But for me, it was ineffective.
After enticing the troll, all I had to do was let it stroll idly on this statue. At lower levels, it may have been very dangerous. Alternatively, it could have just swung its weapon at me and smashed the statue as collateral damage.
Remarkably, it seems that these luminous shattered statues may be opened by other powerful foes in Elden Ring. Big males don't have to resemble the aforementioned trolls in order to be considered such.
Alternative methods for shattering illuminated fractured statues in Elden Ring
You'll need to do some reconnaissance to identify your main adversaries, depending on the region you're in. A beast or two must be trained and brought to the statue with the glowing cracks. You can't merely hide behind a monument like the one below and pray that your adversary walks straight into it. Instead, this statue is up against the wall.
An opponent is about to assault you, so you'll need to turn around and face the statue. If you can avoid its assault at the correct time, maybe they'll open the object for you.
]Glow in the dark fractured statues: what's inside?
Based on all the instances I've seen, these luminescent fractured statues only bestow different levels of upgrade materials, such as Smithing Stones for your shields and weapons. If that makes sense, it's a potentially nice haul, but not necessarily something I'd want to make the effort to obtain.
This is only the most recent in the game's string of "Wow, I really overthought that!" moments. I adore it. especially now that I've reached a dead end and need to start exploring once more.
