Creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone of Stardew Valley delivered the much-awaited 1.6 update for the popular farming simulation back in March. The patch was enormous, offering both seasoned users and novices a ton of new things to do. Really? Try not to ache from scrolling over the changelog, please.
Regretfully, it was limited to PC use at the time. It will take some more time, but Barone has said that work is still being done on the game's console and mobile versions. Given that Stardew Valley is a one-person endeavor, it makes perfect sense.
Many people will be curious about the status of version 1.6 and its advancement, however. If you're on a different platform, you're already many versions behind since PC users are currently on 1.6.6.
Where's the console update for Stardew Valley 1.6?
Barone provided a link to the patch notes, which detailed the new features and bug fixes included in the April 26 PC update, when it became available. The "console and mobile ports are still in progress" notification was accompanied by a note expressing gratitude to those who have been patient. The developer doesn't seem to have discussed the upgrade for non-PC platforms since this. It is thus hard to predict when it will release or at what stage it is at.It's also crucial to note that Barone has been very honest in informing followers that they need exercise patience when it comes to updates and fresh material. Currently,
Stardew Valley console and mobile versions are under development with version 1.6. It just requires some patience. But I'm going to assume that by the time it's launched, it will be v.1.6.x, which will bring it on par with the PC.
