Classic literature, enhanced with BARF!
Arc System Works has officially announced that River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, a fighting game based on a beloved work of Asian literature, will be localized for the west. July 21 marks the release date of the most recent installment in the Kunio-kun series, which is accessible on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The River City Saga: Three Kingdoms is a retelling of the ancient Chinese story "Sangokushi," which is perhaps more familiar to Westerners as the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It has been reimagined and styled in the classic vintage style of Kunio-kun. As players fight their way through a narrative of patriotism and conflict, characters from the brawler series will assume parts from the legend. The various fights in the plot will be played out in the distinctive River City face-busting, comedic manner.
The River City Saga will have a multiplayer adventure in addition to the main narrative campaign. Up to four players may collaborate in Heroes of the Three Kingdoms: Battle of the Red Cliffs local and online multiplayer action as they battle their way through ten levels filled with boss characters and opponents, revealing hidden stages and other interesting discoveries. Just be careful where you throw those fistfights. Remember that you are a team?
July 21 is the global release date for River City Saga: Three Kingdoms for the PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
