Aside from monetization, 's high DPS checksThe Initial Ancestor may be the looter shooter's worst quality. These often manifest as the Colossi fights seen in missions using Void Intercept. To advance the narrative and have a chance at uncommon prizes, Descendants must engage in combat with these giants in a timed arena. The majority of them are difficult, but not terrible. Conversely, the Pyromaniac is known for stalling out all but the strongest Descendants.
The Pyromaniac is very agile considering its 50% reduction in size.
Given that Descendants have a substantially lower maximum gear level, the Pyromaniac is a level 66 battle. Since this Colossus is very immune to damage from weapons, the only thing it is vulnerable against is chill damage, notably chill strikes like those from Viessa. The Pyromaniac is a formidable opponent when combined with devastating Fire strikes that have a large area of effect.
Suggested weapons, descendants, and modifications
- Descendant: Viessa
- At level and without a much higher level Descendant carrying, Viessa is the go-to choice for taking on the Pyromaniac thanks to her arsenal of Chill attacks. Due to their limited range, you’ll need to be closer than is ideal, so play smart and be aware of the Pyromaniac’s attacks, which can be deployed nearly anywhere.
- Weapon: Tamer
- This machine gun absolutely shreds and is a personal favorite for nearly any activity. Despite the Pyromaniac’s resistance to firearms, any damage is good damage due to the timer in effect. Throw on a Chill Enhancement Mod to further your cause.
- Descendant Mods
- Heat Antibody: Provides Fire resistance.
- Increased DEF: Provides a percentage-based buff to defense.
- Maximize Fire Resist: Provides Fire resistance at the cost of maximum HP.
- Technician: Enhances Skill Power based on a percentage.
Attacks by pyromaniacs
Burn and Summon: When the Pyromaniac calls every Descendant involved in the fight to one location and unleashes a powerful Area of Effect, the screen will become white. Move ahead to avoid the center of the assault as soon as the screen goes white. Grapple out of the area as soon as you can see the arena once more.Inferno Chains: The Pyromaniac will call forth a number of outward-extending circular chains. There will be a searing DoT effect if you touch them. Although you can outrun them, I advise hopping over them instead because of how haphazardly they are placed.Hellfire Orb: A massive, flaming orb that follows a chosen Descendant is summoned by the Pyromanic. Numerous other tracking orbs that follow the closest target will also be spawned by this orb. These spheres travel quickly and are unstoppable. Run in the direction of the first orb and roll beneath it to deflect other orbs; this should hopefully send the orb crashing onto the earth.A pyromantic approach
Grip up to the floating platforms in the beginning of the battle to use them before they are demolished. Direct your blaze towards the irreversible shoulders. Grip hard and break them off as soon as they become yellow to knock the Pyromaniac unconscious. For a similar result, after the shoulders are fractured, concentrate on the region around the knees.
When the Hummingbirds and Kingfishers spawn, concentrate your fire on them since they're a great source of ammunition and health boosts. Remember where they die, and don't take the needless risk of entering the lava to get medical attention.
When playing as Viessa and encountering other Descendants such as Sharen or Bunny, Give your party members the reins for the additions while you use your skill powers to concentrate on the Pyromaniac. Having said that, avoid letting the advertisements get so prevalent that they endanger the celebration excessively.
Attack the cylinder that emerges on the Pyromaniac's back once it loses its immunity. The cylinder will retract back into the Pyromaniac if enough damage has been done to it, making it susceptible once again.
