Payday 3 removes Denuvo before its release.

Payday 3, a first-person shooter, will launch in shops on September 21. Early access will begin on September 18. According to Steam's marketplace, the game will use Denuvo, an anti-tampering program designed to stop piracy. Fans were rather offended by this because of the software's negative reputation.

As devs have verified, players won't have to worry about it anymore. Payday 3 has stopped using Denuvo. Although no one is protesting, there is no explanation provided for the abrupt shift.

The Predicament of Denuvo

Denuvo is used by developers to prevent piracy. Cracking the game and sharing it becomes more difficult with Denuvo. This is crucial since it accounts for a significant portion of a game's overall sales during the launch period. Although pirates always figure out a game eventually, the objective is to postpone this so that producers can maximize revenues while demand is strong.

Players often don't like anti-tamper software since it has been held accountable for certain games' poor performance, such as .Play Tekken 7 on a PC. Although Denuvo has refuted these allegations, the program is despised for other reasons. Additionally, it may render some games unplayable; this was the case in 2021 when domain problems prevented the launch of titles like Guardians of the Galaxy.Payday 3 seems ready for a successful release with Denuvo gone. It is now ranked third on Steam's top 100 list, behind Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
