World Brawl in School Hall
During the Tokyo Game Show festivities this weekend, WayForward unveiled a brand-new trailer for River City Girls 2., the upcoming sequel. The Japanese cast of the action-RPG sequel is introduced to us in this new trailer, which also offers a brief glimpse at a few of Kyoko and Misako's jogging companions as they administer Street Justice around River City's streets.
The video starts out with some manga-esque cinematics from the first game then jumps quickly to some fast-cut scenes from the forthcoming sequel. In addition to returning stars Marian (Double Dragon) and Provie (River City Underground), we see both Kyoko and Misako in some well-known and brand-new locales (including the local fairground, which is making a return from previous Kunio-kun titles). Additionally, there is a healthy dose of cartoonish chaos at the hands of Kunio and Riki. Even though the two new characters seem really attractive, I'm genuinely eager to see Marian and her six-pack in action. Ker-blam.
More significantly, the teaser provides a brief look at a fresh batch of store owners, enabling sharp-eyed Kunio-kun aficionados to identify many cameos and well-known figures from the franchise's illustrious 35-year past. One important aspect of River City Girls' was the shopkeepers. individual character, so when River City Girls 2 eventually launches on the PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms in 2022, it will be wonderful to meet these new retail superstars.
Oh, and remember that River City Girls Zero if you can't wait till then. Before the year ends, — a remaster of the 1994 Super Famicom title Shin Nekketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Banka— is anticipated to arrive on the Nintendo Switch.
