When will it next appear?
Though it hasn't been updated in a while, a fresh recruitment advertisement for Metroid Prime 4 informs us that the game is still being developed.
As you may remember, Metroid Prime 4 has undergone an intense development cycle, and all we have seen of it so far is a logo. When the game was first revealed five years ago, it had a wild appearance that Retro Studios was not managing it. Although we hadn't seen anything publicly yet, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé said a year later that the game was "still in development" and "proceeding well." After a year, we were informed that it was "well into production" , but then a significant event occurred and it seemed as if the business had begun again.Shinya Takahashi, senior managing executive officer, said that the project needed to "start from the beginning," with Retro Studios assuming control due to quality issues. With Retro in charge, it was a radical about-face, but that's probably what the public wanted nonetheless. We are now receiving an update in 2022, although one that is oblique. "We are looking for a tools engineer and a technology engineer to join us on our journey to develop Metroid Prime 4!" the Retro Studios Twitter account said this week in reference to a Metroid Prime 4 job posting. Retro then sent this link to their website listing employment vacancies.Currently, there are positions available at Retro Studios for concept artists, environment designers, material artists, character artists, technology engineers, environmental artists, environmental terrain artists, UI artists, and tools engineers. There are several opportunities, and it seems like Metroid Prime 4 still has some time to go.
