After a prolonged period of issues, Helldivers 2 is now gradually regaining stability and a diversified, fulfilling meta almost everywhere. Although the playerbase has somewhat decreased, unexpected new releases continue to occur, with Tier 5 ship upgrades being the most recent.
Notably, players of Helldivers 2 may now devote all of their money to six endgame-tier ship improvements that were just unlocked via a minor update. And we'll need to be investing a lot of money in them since, before the intended impact is unlocked, each one requires a substantial expenditure. It's crucial to note that this is the second time that we've gotten a surprise release of ship and stratagem upgrades. Based on the appearance of things, it seems to be a little more significant than the prior release.
Updates to the Helldivers 2 Tier 5 ships are now available
.It's doubtful that you'll have enough resources and requisition to unlock any of the six new Tier 5 ship upgrades that just landed in Helldivers 2 unless you're an experienced Helldiver with hundreds of missions under your belt. In particular, you will need to pay between $30,000 and $35,000 for each improvement, in addition to hundreds of sample specimens at once. The resource cost is so significant that each of these new Tier 5 improvements is approaching the allocated resource limits pretty, which is something Arrowhead Games may eventually have to deal with.
The complete list of all the new Tier 5 ship improvements in Helldivers 2, along with their effect, is as follows:
- Payroll Management System: Reduces reload time for all Support Weapons by 10%.
- High-Density Explosives: Increases the damage radius on explosions caused by Orbital Stratagems by 10%.
- Advanced Crew Training: Reduces Eagle rearm cooldown by an additional 10% if called in while you still have Eagle uses in tow.
- Morale Augmentation: Reduces the cooldown timer for all Stratagems by 5%.
- Streamlined Launch Process: All Support Weapon Stratagems deploy immediately upon being called in.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Mortar Sentries (EMS, baseline) prioritize targeting marked foes.
All things considered, it's a very spectacular display that will have seasoned Helldivers licking their lips to get their hands on all of these enhancements. The benefits of Morale Augmentation are practically necessary, but the 10% reduction in the Support Weapon reload period is a big deal in and of itself. Not to mention the added capability of the Mortars to aim at any opponent (or hard target!) you assign them. This gives these stratagems a whole new level of use, and it will undoubtedly be a well-liked option in the end.
The only thing left to do is actually gather enough resources to enable each of these improvements. It might take a long time.
