Will occur?In-Birth 2 Under Night
rollback netcode?Publisher There will be, as verified by Arc System Works and the wackily titled developer French Bread. In-Birth 2 Under Night netcode rollback upon launch. The game is "now supporting rollback netcode for an improved online experience," according to the Steam website. This is a nice addition since the prior game's online experience was subpar.
There will also be casual matches available, so you may matchmake without having to worry about your rating.
Sadly, crossplay unfortunately will not be compatible with this fighting game. Neither the developer nor the publisher have issued an official statement. Nothing about it has been mentioned despite my thorough inspection of the press releases, trailers, and official website. Playing versus PC gamers on PlayStation systems would have been fantastic, but such is life. We'll update this page if we learn of any additional developments.
Unfortunately, Xbox systems will not be getting the game.
Do we need to take into account any special editions or pre-order bonuses?
When Under Night In-Birth 2 debuts on January 24, there will be a Digital Deluxe Edition with pre-order extras. Included in the Digital Deluxe Edition are:
- The game
- 25 Announcer Characters set
- UNI2 – Season Pass
The season pass is, oddly enough, also part of the pre-order incentive. Three DLC characters are included, and Kuon, the primary adversary, may be unlocked right away. These extras should make the last part of the Under Night In-Birth series more enjoyable for you.
